The President of the Kurdish-European Society (KES) Kahraman Evsen was received at the headquarters of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) in Berlin by Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel yesterday. Mr. Schäfer-Gümbel is the deputy chairman of the SPD at the federal level and head of the Hesse SPD.
Evsen presented KES, its member organizations and the ongoing projects. He also explained why Germany and the European Union should support the upcoming referendum on the independence of Kurdistan.
Schäfer-Gümbel listened attentively and promised to support KES in its projects and goals. Above all, he welcomed the goal of the rapprochement between Ezidis and Muslims.
Evsen thanked Schäfer-Gumbel on behalf of KES, who in spite of the hot election campaign phase and countless meetings made himself available to exchange views with the president of KES Kahraman Evsen.
