The Kurdish-European Society (KES) and the Kurdish-European Medical Students Association (KEMSA) have a lot in common as non-profit, non-partisan and European organizations. Even the names are similar. It is therefore logical that both sides have already sought contact with one another at a very early stage and have explored possibilities for cooperation. After the meeting in Berlin on 13 January 2017 and after consultation with the internal association bodies, the organizations finally decided to enter into a cooperation and make this publicly known.

Both sides will from now on support each other in their respective projects, promote the networking of the Kurdish diaspora in Europe and contribute to the social development in Kurdistan and Europe. KES and KEMSA are convinced that through joint and coordinated work good results can be achieved in the interests of the people. Representatives of both sides will therefore shortly meet in a European city and work out common projects.
